Hey Guys, Tom here. You might have seen our Associate boards being built around the internet. This has been a small indie project we have been funding since 2024. First time I heard it I couldn't believe how great it sounded. I knew I had to get one. Well come 2026 we finally got our commission done, and with that we could make it more widely available. To me this is one of the pinnacles of the solid state world, and quite frankly very underrated. Yes, it is an op amp, but that takes up about 1/10th of the real estate of what is actually going on.
Why has it taken so long if it sounds so good? Well, Parker is a bit of a character. You might read a book and think there is no way a Mechanical Engineer/Cyclist/Mixologist would know a lick of audio?
Well Parker has some Roots in the NY Audio Scene, coming up as audio engineer at a few Audio Companies, with years of electronics repair, theory, and manufacturing.
Steve Guttenberg has interviewed Parker long before I knew him. (Video 1) (Video 2)
(Recorded 2018)
What else could Parer be doing in this time? He simply tells me Hotdogs.
Second point to point build done.
Now to test and see how it all comes together. At the end we have made the first pcb but sometimes we need to look deeper and conjure more Zen. While I may have lost some of the details during my digital archeology on the interweb, I hope what I have excavated did have some insight into the new internet audio enthusiast space.
Now I present, the Rectum Fryer 4.0
